Yaaayyy!!! This year is the 40th Anniversary of the Western Carolina State Fair. Come on down ! (or up or over!)

October 16 - 25, 2008. Will I see you there? I might see you there! Maybe someone (you know who you are) will ask me on a date and take me to the fair, hint hint ;) haha.

Funnel Cake - Games of Skill! - Sausage & Pepper Sandwiches - Entertainment - Candy Apples - Fun - Cotton Candy - Contests - Ice Cream Cones - Rides! Rides! Rides! - Games of Chance - Prizes - Friends -Art Contest - Bumper Cars - Bake Sale - Beauty Pagent - Tractor Pull - Burgers - Fries - Pizza - Demolition Derby - Monster Trucks!! - Kiddie Rides and more more more!!! Fun! Fun! Fun!

PERFORMING: BUCKY COVINGTON (ladies - remember him from American Idol) also performing: LORRIE MORGAN

The Fairgrounds are located on Highway 1 - approx 6 miles north of Downtown Aiken. (I'm not great with distance - - - but the fairgrounds are not far from town.) Just look for the Ferris Wheel!

Fairs are so much fun! We just had our week long fair a week ago. The food is my favorite part, especially funnel cake with powdered sugar! Make sure your date gets you the big stuffed animal, no consolation schwag!

Good Morning Valerie-Lisa and Rich! If I go I will definitely take some pictures---I always have my camera with me, lol. and funnel cake certainly is THE best, with LOTS of powdered sugar (but is it truly worth a 12 hour road trip at these gas prices???hmmm?? ) chocolate YES - funnel cake--mmmm maybe, lol.
