Are you claiming your share of Foreign Buyers?

By
Real Estate Agent with Kirsten Realty Tampa Florida

The first thing to do is research to see what foreign investors are buying in your market area, and then market to them.  67% of foreign investors in my area pay with cash.  Some web sites to check out  www.worldproperties.com,  www.realtor.org - another way to do research to get information on International home buying activity for your area.  The reason for them to buy, the weak U.S. dollar, low interest rate, low house prices than previous years.

Worldproperties has a marketing resource center and it is free.  Your second thing would be set up a marketing plan, and then implement your plan.

It will help if you join International groups, like www.FIABCI.com  or maybe your Realtor board, or your city has a International group.  Go to Trade shows,  Take International courses, Get your TRC, CIPS

designations.  Hope this helps anyone who wants more business in this slow market.

Sharon,

I have clients in England, Japan, Switzerland, and now Luxembourg.  It is all in how you present yourself and in some cases understanding the culture.

Hi Sharon

Good luck and success

Aloha Sharon,

You are right on the foreign market.  I have been marketing in Japan and also in Canada.  Both countries have been working out well

Sharon - From what I gather from a friend in Sarasota, Florida has more international buyers than we do here in Sacramento.  My friend tells me that many Canadians are buying property in your state.

Myrl,

I am not sure that is true for your State is popular with the International buyers.  In Florida, we also have buyers from Europe.
