Farming opportunities with the Holiday Season -- timing is everything!

By
Title Insurance ePro, MBA

The Holiday season is quickly approaching and you have an opportunity to stand out from the crowd.

Many send out holiday or season greeting cards in December.

ThanksgivingI recommend you take advantage of the Thanksgiving season and send out your cards or letters the middle of November.  Whether it be a thank you card or a letter of thanks as you reflect on the year, friendships, clients and families.  Take the time to craft a message that will be noticed as you will be the only one sending the card and your contacts will receive it first before the crush of other cards.

Just a thought -- have a safe and successful holiday season and even during this difficult time and market, reflect on what you have to be thankful for.

Scott - the farming technique that we have used during November for the past couple of years has been to do a canned food drive in our farm area.  We put a flyer along with a grocery bag on each door in our farm area and then collect the bags of canned food a week later for a local food closet.  It helps us give back to the community and keep in touch with potential clients.

Both great ideas!  Thanks for the tips.

It's nice to get all that done, so when December comes along you can relax knowing that your clients are already taken care of.

A good reminder.  It's not too early to get started.  I like the thought of getting it done early and relaing a little through the month of december.

Great idea. I also like the idea by Lori. I think giving is the best marketing. People should start giving in order to be getting.

Scott,

Thanks for the reminders to get started on farming but mostly for the positive message too. These are slim times and reminding ourselves that we are lucky for a lot of other reasons is important. Have a happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Scott! I did just that, mailed my Thanksgiving cards this week. Wrote about it, too, in my blog. I didn't know you had the idea first! ~Pat
