Frustrations

By

Have any of you ever felt like no matter what you do nothing ever goes right? It seems like I am the one that is always in the GM's office going, "Have you got a minute?" I get so frustrated sometimes.  An agent with another company once told me, "I have been in the business xx years now and I still have someone look over my contracts before I have anyone sign them." To me this was a stellar piece of advice and I still live by this rule today. However lately, its always something. What do some of you do to de-stress and just step out of the light for a little while? Any ideas?

No Laura, I never felt like that!!! haha!! :)
I do a lot to de-stress.. the most common is to remind myself that there are certain things i have control over and some that i dont. hey.. it is what it is.  and then there is gardening. something about caring for plants, digging holes in the ground and hcing the dirt between my fingers.. oh yeah. then there is surfing, jet-skiing and other fun stuff. but gardening is the easiest and is a step away.

be strong Laura.. and keep those blogs coming. I'll be watching. WELCOME TO ACTIVE RAIN! :))

Thanks Nick,

I would probably be planting a garden if it the weather had stayed in the 80's an not decided to drop down to freezing for the past 4 days. To go from almost a month of beautiful weather and then to hit an overnight low of 21 is like a major shock. Thanks for the advice though.

There's no substitute for EXPERIENCE!

Dear Laura,

There's nothing like a LONG VIGOROUS walk to clear your head!  Kickboxing is also fantastic if you can find a class that will accommodate your schedule.  On the more mellow side, take 20 minutes to meditate.  Wayne Dyer has some great tips in his book about manifesting your destiny.  Google his name and you'll find the exact title...sorry, I don't remember it!

For me the best answer in Florida is an early morning walk on the beach.

When I lived up North - I found Whitewater Kayaking to be the best way to get my mind off other stress.  When you are about to run a class 4 or 5 rapid - your mind gets very focused.

Find something that helps you and know that we all are here as a community to support you!

I forgot to put this part in when I was typing about the frustrations....  How about dropping your cell phone, not once but twice in one week in a full cup of coffee. LOL... The first time it dried out and was ok, the second time, Friday night, was not so good.  Verizon says there is nothing I can do, but replace the phone at "Full Retail Price"  So the phone that was $50 6 months ago when I renewed my contract and upgraded will now cost me $210.  Of all the darned luck, this was in the same week that I had to advise a seller of a $460,000 home to walk away from a contract.   Oooohhh, the Agony.
