Selling Space? Make Sure It's Unforgettable!

Ever left a house and later asked yourself "how many bedrooms was that house?".    Was it 3 or 4?  After touring several homes they can all run together, and buyers may have a hard time remembering a vacant or unattractive room.  Add to that several different house hunting trips and those vacant and unappealing rooms are a forgotten glance.

Making sure each bedroom make a fantastic impression will help buyers prevent memory loss!  This bedroom is one I think they will remember -- and wish was their own!

Before staging, this room may not have been too memorable -- and if it was, it wouldn't have been a positive memory!

Hi Margaret-  I totally agree with this statement.  After seeing so many homes, a buyers brain gets over-loaded with all the homes and they get jumbled in there.  They'll remember the really awful ones, "the one with the cat hair balls all over the floor" - even though the floors were beautiful, what about that?  Doesn't matter, all they remember are the fur balls!  A negative memory is not what you want to be going for.

Or they'll remember the really gorgeous ones that really stand apart from all the other homes - the positive memorable ones.  This is always my goal when staging, to stand apart from the competition and be memorable in a good way.  "The one that had that beautiful black & white bedspread in the master bedroom. Oh yes, that one was beautiful!"

Nice job on the master.  Love the colors.

This room is actually the guest bedroom -- glad you thought it was beautiful enough to be the master!  Thanks for reading and commenting!

Margaret, I dId not know this post was here. Sorry, have not been on AR in the last few days and have not done a post in a couple of weeks. What I like about this house is that each bedroom is different. Not just a bed in all four bedrooms. Office, guest, childs room & master. That makes it stand out a long with your wonderful staging techniques.

I love this bedroom -- not only does it look contemporary and desirable, I was able to use the exiting window coverings and provide a coordinating look.  Makes me wish I was a guest at this lovely home!
