Missouri gas - under $3.00 a gallon - didn't think it would ever happen again!

Back in July, I wrote a post celebrating the gas prices in Lebanon, Missouri and reasons why you would want to move here - we were paying $3.39 a gallon at that time. I was so excited! You can see those photos HERE.

A potential buyer stopped at our United Country office in Lebanon MO first thing this morning, raving about our gas prices. They were from Kansas; when they filled up to leave their home, they paid just under three and a half a gallon.

I thought it was worth a trip down the street to grab a few photos to share with you. I never thought we would see gas under $3.00 a gallon - or at least not for a very long time.

Just another reason to move to Lebanon, Marshfield or Buffalo Missouri. Call or email me today, we'll get you started!

Debbie, I would have filled up my tank in a heartbeat!  I used to pay $20 for a tank of gas, it's well over double that now (sigh).................

Carole - I remember when I moved to MO - gas was under a dollar a gallon - we could pay with a twenty and get change! Never thought about filling up the tank then!

Sheila - Our cost of living is very reasonable. I think the big difference is our taxes, much lower than other parts of the country.

Debbie, MO always seems to have low priced gas. I used to visit friends there, and years ago, and this state had fuel cheaper than any place around. You are right though, I never thought that I'd see gas below $3 again...

This is a welcome sight but I would not count on it for too long, just until the election is over, unfortunately.

Debbie:  Do you have lines to get the pump the gas?  I see there are several gas stations in your town, Lebanon MO, selling at such a great price.  Down here in the Fort Rucker area we are paying about $3.50 a gallon. I have been told that the gas stations go out of gas during the week!

SC and GA are known for low gas prices. I saw it drop from $3.79 to $3.43 this past week. PTL! I hope it keeps going down.  Makes me want to take a road trip now that gas has gone down. :)

I can only hope our gas gets that low again.  We are averaging $ 3.75 a gallon in our county.

We've made it to $2.75 here on the west side of Springfield, amazing!

It will be interesting to see how long it lasts.
