Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Marketing Specialists

Has anyone suggested to their seller about placing the home on the auction block? It seems like more and more homes are being sold this way. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has suggested and/or tried this approach with their seller. Thank you.

Hi Susie - I have a ton of blogs on ActiveRain about real estate auctions; you can start there for a bit of auction education. I highly recommend becoming educated about how auctions can be used as a wonderful tool for your business. It's not for every seller, but there are times and circumstances when it's a superior method to conventional marketing. Note - we're not talking about distress or foreclosure auctions but rather as a preferred method.
