Finding Green Clients

By
Real Estate Agent with Webb Solar Realty, LLC 295742

I've picked the designation as Ecobroker - realtor received additional education in energy and environmental issues - and would love to hear about marketing ideas for green clients.  I have started mailing to some Sierra club members but have had very little response.  Does anyone have any ideas about how to find owners of Prius cars?

Go to 'green' events, hold open 'green' homes.

I agree about keeping your eyes open for "green" events where like minded individuals may gather, but I would also suggest "green" isn't just attractive to specific groups, I think "green" can also be attractive to anyone who may be interested in the benefits of a "green" home.  In other words, promote the benefits of "green" - whether it be healthier living or lower utility costs - to the general public, as well.  They may not consider themselves "green," but who wouldn't be interested in the benefits?

Be prepared to start attending and participating in home improvement shows. You also have to advertise this ecobroker status, get your name out there...

I agree with Susan, everyone can benefit from "green" news. Are their any green neighborhoods that you can geofarm? We have a couple in Tucson. so you might have some.  Are you planning on going to the NAR annual convention in Orlando? It is alot closer to you than me. They are unveiling the new NAR Green designation!!! If you go to that you can talk to other agents about what they are doing to market to the buyers and sellers they want to work with.
