Newberry County SC Doesnt appear to be fairing that well as there were only 16 Total sales recorded for September 2008 that were public information. There were and always will be a good percentage of private sales in this mainly rural community.
Market times on most of the listings were in excess of 120 days. The below 100K mark had the best market time of all with less than 60 Days. Most of the financing was reported to be conventional financing. This is probably from the lack of the report being accurate. I would venture to say most were FHA or Rural development.
The market in Newberry is down considerably compared to prior years but the values also seem to holding steady. there are not an over abundance of homes listed nor are that many foreclosures going on.
All in all its holding its own.
