UPDATE:
Thanks for the advice all, I decided to stay with RE/MAX, and will pursue my own Broker's License so that I may do Property Management under RE/MAX - Any advice to a newby getting into Property Management. I'm not all that new to it actually leased apts, managed a 10 unit building, managed a couple single family rentals, all before I got my license.
Any advice? Tips? Warnings like 'don't do it'? The one agent in our office that does PM, said don't!
old post:
I'd like to hear from Brokers/Realtors on my decision to possibly leave RE/MAX and what happens if a brand new escrow is caught in the middle?
I currently closed one transaction with RE/MAX and received an offer from a Property Management company about an hour away, they want me to run a satellite division of there Real Estate and Managment company. They were supposed to provide leads, but haven't to date. I love my Broker and the company, but I am open to the new opportunity. I have a brand new acceptance of an offer for a Buyer I've been working with for over a year (a personal friend's boyfriend). What happens if I open escrow with RE/MAX and then move? You see the property management company wants me to move my license by Monday and we are supposed to open escrow tomorrow. The Listing Agent stated that I need to rewrite the offer because it's Seller is not correct. Do I have to rewrite it under Re/max or can I do it under the new company? The new company says if I don't move my license by Monday, we will have issues???
THANKS!
