Now we all know that this wasn't repaired by a professional plumber, because when repairing different kinds of pipes you are supposed to use All-Purpose Cement in the red can, instead of CPVC glue in the orange can. In all seriousness and for those of you who don't know, this is the epitome of un-professional work and the grey pipes are polybutylene. This is why it is very important to hire licensed or professional individuals to make repairs, ecpecially if you're not sure on what to do.
That's amazing. As an old x-plumber I can honestly say I have never seen anything in the instruction manuals like that.
Jack: Plumbing was my specialty, too. I still can't believe these splices were holding up.
Joshua, this follows the priciple that if you can find a big enough elephant you can hold anything down. That said----I am not sure there are any pvc/poly-b adhesives. Gotta love it.
Come on Joshua... I know you didn't really see that in a home. You put that together and took a picture of it for this post. Surely, you don't expect us to believe that someone would attempt to do repairs that they aren't qualified for? All homeowners are responsible and competent handymen, right?....
...Sorry, I just woke up. I must have still been in my dream world when I started typing. Yep, that's about par for the course. Good find.
I think some of you home inspectors are just a little to nik picky. Your not looking at it on the artistic side of it, plus it doesn't leak. What the problem? Looks good to me.
