Working on Sunday

What do other LDS agents do about working on Sunday? It seems in this business, it's an expected practice (at least in Columbus, Ohio). I made an oath to never work on Sunday, and I never have (except for "trolling" the MLS a few times). Open houses are almost always held on Sunday here, so I've done just a few, only at times other than Sunday(twilight Thurs. evening, usually). I'd like to perfect the "art" of the Saturday open house. There are other agents in my office who would like to do then at times other than Sunday too.

How have other LDS agents resolved this? What have you done to generate interest in open houses on days other than Sunday?

Marcia, I will admit to trolling the MLS and writing here on Active Rain.  The Active Rain part to me is more fun than it is work, but it is something that I probably should not do.  We try hard not to work on Sunday and admittedly it is easier to do in Southern Utah than it is in other places.  We do have clients that call and can only view properties on Sundays.  We will work around church times and show properties, but it isn't something that we like to do, but will do once we have exhausted the possiblity of a Saturday or Monday showing.  We work in an area where a lot of the business is the second home buyer, so quite often Sunday is the only day that they are up from Las Vegas or Southern California.  In short, I really believe that it comes down to where your heart is, as long as it is the exception and not the rule, I hope to be forgiven these tresspasses on the Sabath.  I will admit that we are lucky and Sunday Open Houses here are still very rare, so that hasn't been an issue, yet.  It is a dilemna, one that each person must come to that understanding with themselves and He whom they serve on the Sabath.
