Find out the "walkability" of your neighborhood; check the Walk Score for your home. Or how far will the kids have to walk to school? If you walk for an ice cream cone, how far is it? Plan a route to get the most miles out of your daily walk. Be sure to look at things around your office too, walk for lunch instead of driving. A fun & useful tool!

Around here, we take the shortest route to our favourite ice cream place - about 15 blocks away, and then take the LONG(er) way home, to make sure we worked it off. All in all, it's about 45 minutes. (Can't rush a good thing.) :)
