Step back in to history and Relax, Live and Play at Milky Way Farms in beautiful Giles County, TN. Everyone is familiar with Mars Candy fame from Milky Way, Snickers, Twix and many others. Most people do not know that famed candymaker, Frank C. Mars, moved to Tennessee in the early 1930's and acquired approximately 2,800 rolling acres. There Mr. Mars employed over 900 people in Giles County during the Great Depression and built Milky Way Farms. Many worked and lived on the farm to construct a 25,000 square foot home with 21 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms, 70 cottages, 30 barns and over 35 miles of fence (much of it stone) around the property. Most people do not know that it was at Milky Way Farms in 1940 that owned (Frank's wife, Ethel) and trained the winner at The Kentucky Derby, Gallahadion.

Many years have past and today Milky Way Farms is being brought back to its original grandeur and enhanced with todays must have amenities. New Horizon Communities and respected developer, Charles Ausburn, are working to update the property while maintaining the love and respect for the historic buildings, fences, trees and estate. Charles Ausburn made his mark in developing the successful Islands of Beaufort along Battery Creek in Beaufort, SC.

Milky Way Farms is located about one hour south of Nashville and one hour north of Huntsville. The property is on Highway 31 about 15 miles from I-65 in a beautiful, countryside setting with spectacular views. It will offer home sites, cottages and condominiums. Other amenities will be a Jay Haas Galaxy Club Pro Golf Course, full equestrian and polo facilities with hay barn, feedstore and tack shop, olympic pool, tennis courts, spa and wellness facilities and many acres of hiking, biking and walking trails.

This would be a great place to post info about the Milky Way Farms. I know there is a lot going on there and we would love to hear the news and business side of it.

The site is It is a free place to post classifieds and community information. It has a community section for weather, sports, events, churches, and more. It is very organized and allows people to post ads for free with multiple pictures and the ads run for 14 to 30 days. It is a great resource for the town of pulaski and the surrounding community.
