Real Estate Financing in a Tough Economy

I have been originating and processing mortgages for over five years and this is the worst I have ever seen it get.  I feel like we are stuck between a rock and a hard place with all the stipulations for lending.  The one who got greedy ruined it for the rest of us trying to make a living and help people out.  My philosophy has always been to adhere to the needs of the borrower first and foremost and if you make a little money along the way - so be it.
