GOOG411 = Jim's tech tip of the month - October 2008

I almost feel guilty offering Google two positions in a row; however they keep coming up with cool stuff.

My technology tip of the month for October is to use Google Mobile (Goog411) on your cell phone.  Why call the operator and pay a surcharge to have them connect the call when you can call 1-800-GOOG411 for free?

If that isn't cool enough, why not ask them to send you a text message of their number?

Still not cool enough, then have then send you a map.

I am starting to wonder if the historians will have three major descriptions of time:

 

  1. B.C.
  2. A.D.
  3. A.G. (after Google)

Garren, yes, Google Maps for the phone is also a great treat.  I just deleted my old Mapopolis program last night as a result.
