I certainly recommend to anyone out there who is promoting their website to sign up with Google Analytics. It's a free service that is incredibly useful in determining where your sites traffic is coming from, what search phrases are being used to find your site, etc. They offer more tools than I have time to spend figuring out. I also think it is useful as an independent measure of traffic if you are advertising and paying per click. Especially with so much click fraud out there it's more important than ever to demand accountability.
