What really matters!!

By
Real Estate Agent with Raleigh Cary Realty

Lately, with all of the bad press and craziness of the market I have decided to do my job to the best of my ability but when I am off, to forget about it all and spend my time focusing on what really matters!  My wonderful family!

I recently went to my 20th high school reunion and saw old friends and none of us cared about what the other person was doing for a living but the person, their family and that they were still the great person that made you such great friends to begin with (just a little more grey and bigger in most cases:).

I took my son Blake (he is in the picture above) with me on a very long road trip so he could spend time with his grandparents and cousins and I had one of the best times I have had in a long time just being with my son not being in a hurry and goofing off at rest stops and enjoying my time with such a special little guy!

Man that was fun!

So remember no matter what happens during all of this keep your nose to the grindstone when you are working, forget about it when your not and remember that when all is said and done no one cares how many homes you sold only the wonderful memories you have spent together.

It's all about keeping it real.   Family first, job second.  We will all go nuts if all we do is concentrate on the bad news and never take time to appreciate the people we love and who love us.   No matter what happens to the economy, the sun will still come up and your family will be your anchor.   Thank you for a beautiful reminder to stop and smell the roses.

George, just spent 2 days with my very grown up children, one is living in DC, the other in Egypt. We sat and had dinner at a "fancy restaurant" (which they used to call it when they were young). and I was so happy to be with them, enjoying their company and their now grown up conversation. We had a great time.

Enjoy them while they're little, they do grow up too fast.

What a great picture!  Now is the time for all of us to remember what we learned on 9/11.  It's an historic moment in time - and we have the opportunity to stay on course and remember how we handled this situation!

Shannon - Someone is trying to tell you something :)

Mary - Unfortunately, I have to remind myself family first too many times but at least I catch it.

You are all right in that it goes too fast if you do not take the time to enjoy it!!

Eleanor I will let my wife know you liked the picture and you are right in making sure we handle adversity and grow from it.
