Given the fact that, almost two years ago, I finished my main Website (and it just about put me under), I was not excited and had NO plans to take on another 'tech' endeavor for quite some time. But knowing, and not wanting to accept, that blogging would be the next logical step for me, I decided to listen in on the Inman blogging conference call on 3/5 "Putting Your Personality Online". It was all very interesting and, frankly, more than I wanted to bite off since finishing my Web site.
While listening in on the call, I began to realize how exciting all this ‘blogging stuff' is. I felt the dread vaporize and excitement wash over me (I knew I should have skipped the conference call!). When I heard ARDELL speak, I felt that we were very simpatico in our styles.
I immediately sent ARDELL an email WHILE the call was still going on! (How's that for pushy?) I wanted to learn how to be a good blogger. I wanted to be the agent providing "transparency" about Miami Real Estate and the real estate transaction, to the consumer public. In fact I didn't even know there was a Project Blogger Competition when I asked ARDELL to assist me in my blogging efforts. The fact that she needed an Apprentice for the Project Blogger Competition was pure coincidence and serendipitous. I did realize, having recently (it was so traumatic-- I still feels like yesterday) completed my website, that embracing new technology was key to staying at the top of my field.
I'm very excited and nervous to be a part of this competition. I know from all the articles that I have been reading, about how important blogging is and will continue to be, that I had to move forward.
I'm sure I will make mistakes, hopefully we'll all have a few laughs together and I hope that we all help some people along the way!
Wishing everyone good luck!
