Those "old" buildings don't look old at all. Great restoration and making the city look up with the times.

Trey: The gas station closed down about 20 years ago but the pumps are still there. Back when it was open, it was also a notable place where many of the locals sat around, told stories and played dominoes for hours under the outside overhang.

Karen, I love your pictures. Isn't it funny how most "old Towns" the traditional ones anyway that have not been commercialized are so similar. The town next to us is Murrieta and their "Old Town" is similar to this one you posted about. Temecula's is commercialized now so it looks like a "New Old Town". Thanks for this great post and a great idea!!!

Jane: We have so many lovely 'old towns' here in Texas. I love them all but my favorites are Georgetown and Gruene (pronounced Green). Very quaint and friendly towns with lots of unique shops.

Karen - nice pics, you must have had fun taking them. I love old buildings - they have such charm. Especially loved the gas station - if I concentrate real hard, I can actually remember them from my childhood. ;-)
