Public Reports? Very important for new Home Buyers!

By
Real Estate Agent with Moving to Marana - Tierra Antigua Realty

The purpose of a Public Report is to protect the public by disclosing material information about a new or existing subdivision and adjacent property to the prospective home buyers; including zoning, past and present use that may impact new homeowners, flight paths, nearest landfill, proximity to fire stations and medical facilities etc., and any proposed development in the immediate surrounding area.  It is now easy to obtain a copy of a Public Report for any subdivision in Pima County Arizona if issued after Jan. 1 1997.

Effective September 1 2005, the public has access to the ADRE (Arizona Dept of Real Estate) Subdivision Database on its website.

Even buyers of resale properties are encouraged to access this service.

Public Reports Online

New home buyers must be given a Public Report and time to review before signing a contract.
