Running up East Houston in Manhattan was pretty cool. Lots of new construction and road work going on.
Turn left off of East Houston onto Broadway and you get some pretty awesome views of the colored lights showcasing famous buildings. I like when the owners love their buildings and go to great pains to make them stand out in the Manhattan skyline.
Make a left onto Centre Street, which is located on the backside of City Hall and adjacent to the entrance for the Brooklyn Bridge. To get on the bridge one would make a right at the light, then turn immediately to the left onto it. :-)
As you come around City Hall to approach the bridge, you get a really nifty view of the Woolworth Building's lights over the roof top.
When you cross over, Pineapple Walk is very close to the Brooklyn Bridge. A few locals were throwing a midnight party in the park. There was music blasting from the Brooklyn Docks, which was a great excuse to bring munchies and hang out while enjoying the water views.
I have a thing for Brooklyn Brownstones. Especially if there is a view of the Manhattan skyline involved...
Pineapple Walk has some very lovely views, especially of the Brooklyn Bridge.
On the way home I had to stop at the bank so I could reward myself with some ice cream when I hit Queens Blvd (LOL).
I'm just waiting for the next James Bond film to come out. Looking forward to posting a movie review. Stay tuned!
My Favorite James Bond portrait I created is of Sean. I promised Susan Mangigian I'd illustrate Daniel Craig next. Looking forward to it. I might even do a portrait with all of the Bonds together (LOL). I hope you enjoyed this turtle run. Regards, C.
