National Shrimp Festival

This weekend marked the 37th year for the National Shrimp Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama.  I can remember when they had the first one - it was a small little event with a local recipe contest and a "Miss Sunny" beauty pagent. My how times have changed!  Now it is one of the most popular festivals in the south featuring live bands, wonderful seafood, arts and crafts, children's activities and so much more. With the economy like it is, this was a perfect time to get the family outdoors, at the beach and have a fun at a reasonable price. Our beaches are beautiful and our real estate prices in Foley, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and the Ft. Morgan area are lower than ever. It's a good time to move your money out of the stock market and into the real estate market.
