My Computer Works.....It Really Does

By
Industry Observer

I can't tell you how many times it hasn't in my life time.  Did you ever see that commercial where the guy starts out talking calmly with a technician (on-line of course) and ends up screaming his lungs out, stomping up and down and crying like a baby all within the first minute of the conversation?   I can relate to that particular guy.  My gosh, what I would have given for the "perfect technician to the rescue "the many times my computer has not worked.  This usually happens, of course,  in the middle of a critical project like creating Christmas cards for the family or checking on which is the least expensive airline ticket to purchase or where to  buy the best car ever in the whole wide world.

Now I have the perfect solution.  No....not the "Recently Declassified" Geek Squad or the Dell Direct team but My Computer Works.   You can actually find them at http://www.mycomputerworks.com/.  They actually do work for you (and me).  If my computer fails to work at any time, I give them a call.  A nominal monthly fee (no long term obligation) gives me a 4-5 hour diagnostic on my computer and unlimited calls.  It's a great insurance policy and stress reliever especially if you have computer problems on a regular basis like me.  This is not a commercial.  It's truly a tip for those looking for a solution to ongoing pc issues.

Just got off the phone with them.  They not only told me what my problem was (needed more RAM memory) but gave me the location to buy it at the most reasonable price and offered to help walk me through the install (included in my monthly fee).  I'm telling you ......look in to it.  Not only a mind reliever but a stress reliever to the 1000th magnitude.

I should forward that website to about 10 different people who call me every time they can't get their printer to print, etc.

I have used the geek squad too and taken their most excellent recommendations.  I can't run my business without my computer and the tech support that comes with them is really crummy.

Yes, I get what you're saying.  Sometimes it's when you need them to print that Buyer Broker or some contract response and they just can't get there.

Nice job on Tony's interview by the way Randy.  Thanks for doing that.

I get that.  Sometimes my buddy that uses a Mac says; "Get a life and get a Mac".  One of these days.

Bite the bullet time came for me when I started having problems in the middle of working with a buyer.  That's when it can become costly.  Then I realized I needed available help from the professionals.  Good luck.

I hear you.  I use Geek Squad as well.  Some things they excel at but I find they can be costly and the service varies depending on the technician you get.  My Computer Works seems to be available to do whatever it takes to get the machine working like it should.

It's hard being around when someone is jumping up and down, crying and making loud noises.  I can't stand shopping but that may be the cure when the ole PC starts going south.

Sorry Diane:

Spelled your name incorrectly.  Have a great day.  No computer prolems for the family, hopefully.

Ken - Hope your computers are doing well - you should write a post about your recent experience with the CEO of Best Buy!

I'm positioning myself for the blog of blogs, the best of the best, and the worst of the worst.  HMMMMMMM, Best Buy, or......Worst Buy.  I smell a stew brewing and I think Best Buy might be a key ingredient.

Me thinks it will be ready soon my friend.
