Real Estate Agent with Platinum Realty 1999090686

I earned my GRI Designation in August 2000.  This is another designation I recommend other Realtors work toward earning.  Following is information on the GRI Designation (compiled from the NAR website).

The GRI symbol is the mark of a real estate professional who has made the commitment to provide a high level of professional services by securing a strong educational foundation. REALTORS® with the GRI designation are highly trained in many areas of real estate to better serve and protect their clients.

Developed for members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and offered through State REALTOR® Associations, the GRI program includes 90 hours of coursework on topics from marketing and servicing listed properties to real estate law.

Buying property is a complex and stressful task. In fact, it's often the biggest single investment you will make in your lifetime. At the same time, real estate transactions have become increasingly complicated.

New technology, laws, procedures and the increasing sophistication of buyers and sellers require real estate practitioners to perform at an ever-increasing level of professionalism.

So it's more important than ever that you work with an agent who has a keen understanding of the real estate business. The GRI program has helped the best and the brightest in the industry achieve that level of understanding.

When you see the letters "GRI" after an agent's name, you can count on receiving the knowledge and guidance you need to make your transaction go smoothly. In short, you can count on getting the best service available from a real estate professional.

Well done Tim!

I may be a few years late, but better late than never.

Seriously anything we can do to promote the GRI, we should do. I got mine more than 30 years ago. They haven't let me site it since I left the NAR, but hardly a day goes by when I don't use the things learned in those classes and from the people I met in them.

Some people think they know it all or they can learn from a book, but nothing beats the experience of taking those classes with a room full of other people.

Keep up the good work.
