Fresno's Halloween Hillbillies

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Lazarus Realty

I went up to Huntington Lake over the weekend and passed through the foothill town of Auberry where I got these pics.

Personally, I'm at ONE with the Hillbillies. I have a daughter and son-in-law who live in Prather (next door to Auberry). If you are interested in buying property in the Fresno foothils, call me @ 559-301-1647 and let me help you find a property. There are several several foreclosure properties on the market in the Prather, Auberry, Tollhouse region.

This reminds me of a gentleman that used to set up a scene in his very similar fenced garden area every year - all summer long - that told a story.  His name was Mr. Miller, and he lived right on the main drag, north of  Northport, Michigan.  The uppity neighbors hated his scarecrow 'scenes', so he would get more 'creative' every year.

One year it was a hunting scene, complete with dog and 'youngster' scarecrow with a gun aiming at deer statues.  Neighbors didn't like it of course, so the next year it was pregnant bride in front of the preacher (scarecrows), and Daddy with shotgun chasing the 'groom' to the altar!

Of course, the following summer there was a baby scarecrow!  He sure had a lot of fun doing it!  I would stop & take pictures every year and find out what kind of grief the neighbors were giving him.  Thanks for the reminder of days gone by!

Steve --- He's mooning the traffic going by and casting a glance over his shoulder.

Lyn --- too funny: so the next year it was pregnant bride in front of the preacher (scarecrows), and Daddy with shotgun chasing the 'groom' to the altar!

Mooned by a scarecrow.  Now I have seen everything or almost anyway.
