So, if anyone out there has children like I do, you probably will know what I am talking about. I have had the chance to volunteer and help out in my kindergarten sons classroom. Just by watching all these children we can learn so much. Let me just tell you a few things that I learned while observing these kindergartners:
- These children are so naive to the economy and the world around them. They don't let these things get them down or bother them. This is something that maybe we, as adults, should try every now and then. We need to be naive to the market conditions, and continue to work and prospect and find some clients!
- The children I was observing today also work hard to get something accomplished, and they get mad if they run out of time and can't finish. I think as adults, we just give up too easily. We need to learn from our children, and work hard to get the finished product. In real estate this means, work hard to get to a closing. Don't give up when you can't find a buyer. Don't give up when you can't find a seller. And last, but certainly not least, don't give up just because of what the media tells us. This isn't the market of 3 and 4 years ago, this is the market today. We have to work harder and longer to get the closings we need!
All in all, just sit down and take time with your children. Observe them, and maybe you too, can learn from them!
