Just got the email from realtor.org: "Pending home sales activity surged as buyers took advantage of low home prices and affordable interest rates, according to the latest report. The Pending Home Sales Index jumped 7.4 percent to 93.4 from an upwardly revised reading of 87.0 in July, and is 8.8 percent higher than August 2007 when it stood at 85.8. The index is at the highest level since June 2007 when it stood at 101.4." The above just arrived in my mailbox from realtor.org and is certainly encouraging news. As an agent only one year I have had doubts about serving in this industry but I guess I will ride it out a little longer. There is nothing else I would rather do than match buyers and sellers of property - whether on Hilton Head Island, Brazil, Switzerland or anywhere else. I hope you colleagues agree. Lets just hope these pendings go through to sustain our market for further improvement and a 'bottoming out'. Have a great day!!! SUSAN
