Websites Websites Websites! Which one do I choose?

By
Real Estate Agent with EXP Realty, LLC 47107

Well 1st conclusion is whether or not you will be editing it yourself or having someone else. There are a number of sites to choose from like one of  these Myrtle Beach Home and Loan  or Sold The Beach . First site is a paid site for around $599.00 and second site the only cost was $8.95 for the domain name. You need to be very dedicated to submitting your URL or web address to search engines and putting in your own keywords, according to your area. Keep watching my blogs for tips on how to get top rankings without paying for SEO. There are lots of websites available today, but ask for a sample of one for a few days. If no sample, then move on. Don't listen to the pitch of, that price is only good for today. More To come..................!!!!

Ahh. North Myrtle Beach.  My dad has a place in Little River and we use to frequent Ocean Creek Resorts before we sold that one.  Oh, back to the question at hand.  I have had Point2agent and now pay for my site with Advance Access.  I like the options that it has and flexibility.  The point2 has great capabilities too for their pay site.  They actually get you good results on your seach engines. (at least what I have seen)  If you read some of Karen George's posts, she is amazing and rather simple in her theory.  With either one, she can help you get good SEO results.  Good luck...

I prefer to do my own sites because I get much better results.  However, I still need an IDX search to plug in. So My cost is $8.95 to buy domain, I host with godaddy $60 a year and my IDX is about 400 for just the IDX.  It is not so much any price, or work I do, it is the effectiveness, and the leads it generates.

I like this new company (http://www.ewebengine.com/company/clients.html)   I've already ordered one after many months of exhausting testing, re-testing other products.  I like this one the most.  I can make this statement after doing several months of research for myself.

It's one of the best real estate products I've seen where the product was actually thought out!  It's clean, not distracting!  Has custom slide shows.  It is about the consumer and their needs, but designed to deliver results to the agents, and brokers.  This one is one stop shopping for real estate.  It is probably the best I've ever seen because it integrates with an automatic drip follow up.  They will also work with you to customize a search.  Behind the scenes they have loads and loads of templates.  Select one and you have a new look!  The have loads of company templates (6 for REMAX) holiday templates ( at least 3 for Easter) season, holiday themes, etc!!!  Totally blew me away!  Instantaneous change.

There's no substitute for EXPERIENCE!

Hello,

Just signed with z57 and YESSSSSSS I've seen and heard some compliants about them, but I'm pretty happy so far. In experimenting with it, I've had some success.  Once I read the tutorial, I'm sure things will go more smoothly (getting the #$%#$ pics and text to stay where I put them for one thing!).

I'm keeping an eye on your blog, Chris!  I'm all about freebie SEO tactics (of which I know NOTHING ABOUT BTW!)  Can't wait!

We aren't in your area, but I can tell you we've got TONS of business from our web site alone.  I have to admit we paid a lot for it but to me it was VERY important and I went back and forth with the designer at least 2 dozens times perfecting things.

It amazes me that people in my profession at least (which is home staging) don't spend more on their sites and/or business cards. It's sometimes the first impression clients are getting of you and to me it's extremely important they realize the money they are spending on us...we're darn worth it!  Ha...

Good blog, let me know when segment 2 comes out ;)

Oh sorry...were you looking for a vote of which site you like the best?

Ok - don't take this wrong, but can I say neither?  Just kidding - kind of.  I guess I believe in honest feedback so here it is.  If I had to choose, I'd say #1, but I would speak to the designer and try to get a much better flow to your site. Although again, I'm a Stager and it's a bit different in the business as a Realtor. I do find that many of the very successful Realtors don't sites that are very pleasing to the eye. Hey, more power to ya if it works!!!!

Chris, your Soldthebeach.com I noticed is a http://www.point2agent.com site which is FREE.  You can't go wrong with that site, be sure to take advantage of the "agent handshake."  My site http://www.ThinkOfTim.com is from the same vendor and I love it.

Chris,

This was a "hot button" for me too.  What am I really getting for my $500 - $600/yr and I still have to do all the work.  Then I found a beautiful thing . . . Point2Agent!!!!  The website I have is . . . 100% free!!!

The functionality for the free site is incredible.  Yes, I could upgrade to their other services, but right now I don't think extra reporting is necessary.  Maybe down the road.  Now, I have ahusband who is comfortable doing these things and has been a big help in setting this up.  Plus he has been a manager for several years and together we designed the site around being a full-service support system for customer as wel as generate some leads.

Check my site out and remember . . . it's the free one!!  www.kathywestrealtor.com

Kathy, I agree Point2 is the best value out there - the possibilities are endless and amazing! The thing that prompted me to upgrade was the limited pages on the free site. Before the year was half up, I upgraded to "Professional" added lots of pages, and more listings for surrounding areas. My placement on search engines moved up almost overnight! I love the fact that even though template driven, there are lots of possible additions (RSS feeds, iframes). Feel free to check out my site www.movingtomarana.com

I thought I read the free site only goes for 1 year, am I correct?

Chris:

I use Image Pro.  It costs me about $35.00 per month.  Through no actions of my own, it has been generating 5-6 visits per day.  Now, I just have to figure out how to turn it into a profit center.  Things that make you go hmmm...

Jennifer I like FP also, and host half of my sites with Godaddy also.  A $49  template from the place you got your free template.  Here is an example of a work in progress:
