Is there enough pie for everyone?

Scarcity!  Ewwwwwww....scary word!  Implies there just isn't enough for everyone - and in this market...That wouldn't be good!  I mean I know we're all supposed to be so grateful for everything, especially right after Thanksgiving (Go Canada - Whoohoo!) but hey - the gravy train is slowin down!  (Not to mix metaphors!)

I heard some realtors from my office mention that they wouldn't WANT listings in this market!  Nothing's moving and it only amounts to carrying costs and had another realtor choked with me because I drastically reduced one of my listings and she has one in same complex.  Time to wake up and smell the coffee! (Don't you just love the theme of my metaphors??  All food!!)

Seriously - let's NOT all just panic!  Back to basics people!  Remember - we're in the RELATIONSHIP business!  We protect our client's interests and we can continue to do that even amidst all the chaos!  Ride the wave! There's enough business for everyone and although the market has shifted, we are still in a healthy economy and the trick is to support eachother and focus on the future!

Relax people - there's enough pie for everyone!  Heck - you can have mine - I don't even LIKE pie!

Cheers!

There is a sense of scarcity in the market -- but let's not focus on that.  Let's focus on what we can do to improve our businesses.  It may not yield immediate results -- how many times have you planted a seed and found through fast forward photography that you have a full grown and blooming plant the next day.  Doesn't happen.  Plant the seeds, water them, tend to the weeds and you'll have a harvest. ~ Evelyn

Hi Teri-Lyn...Great Post. Stay focused on listings, I've had very many motivated Sellers this Year ( They know what's going on and want to Sell) and I Sold Many listings in less than a week, Multiple offers on one, selling $14,000 over Asking Price. Know your Market, Buyers are Fine, but take up a lot of time.

My marketing costs as minimal, as I Blog here and see great results, especially when I land all over the Top of the Page on Google for my listings and Victoria real estate.

Yes there are Realtors here saying the Same thing, I just agree with them and stay working my listings.

Cheers, thanks for sharing your thoughts, great post
