His Justice Can Not Sleep Forever

Chuck Norris is a pretty cool guy.  His shows had family oriented content, you clearly knew who the badchuck guys and the good guys were and the good guys always won. He is a conservative Hollywood star with 40 years in the business. He expresses concern about how the pool of conservative "tough guys" seems to be drying up in Hollywood. He also states that there are those like actor Gary Sinise and others who have been meeting quietly in restaurants and private homes, forming a loose-knit network of entertainers who share common beliefs like supporting U.S. troops and traditional American values. This group is not large in number and they meet rather secretively  because they support U.S. troops and traditional American values.  What has this country come to?

Below are some quotes from Chuck:

"America's Founding Fathers wholeheartedly believed in the premise stated in Psalm 33:12: "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." But what would they have thought of a nation that removes God from its heritage, classroom instructions, civic ceremonies, buildings, monuments, historic sites, etc.? I believe the words of Thomas Jefferson are as fitting for religious apostasy as they were for slavery; words that are inscribed upon his memorial in Washington: "And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with his wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever.""

"In a so-called age of tolerance, it amazes me just how intolerant some people are of those who stand for traditional values. For example, if I stand against California's memorializing of Harvey Milk Day or stand for California's Proposition 8, which would create an amendment to the California Constitution to safeguard heterosexual purity in marriage (which I do support and encourage Gov. Schwarzenegger and all Californians to do the same), I'm considered by many to be intolerant and a bigot. But if another actor takes just the opposite positions on those measures, he is considered to be compassionate and a liberator. Or when a liberal candidate, such as Hillary Clinton, runs for president, her candidacy is considered a fulfillment of civil rights and women's suffrage. But when a conservative candidate, such as Sarah Palin, runs for vice president, she's considered a radical right-wing extremist who could usurp the Capitol by toting rifles at her side."

My hero and stalwart conservative, John Wayne, once said: "Courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyway."

~ Above quotes by Chuck Norris

We need to saddle up!

We are soon going to be riding  - Revelation 19:

11. I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True.  With justice he judges and makes war

13. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood and his name is the Word of God.

14. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.

15..........He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.............KING OF KING AND LORD OF LORDS

I love it when courageous people are willing to stand up and speak truth, even when it's "unpopular."

I visited DC for the first time this year, and I was SO moved by the incredible tributes to God's role in founding our nation.  If your kids are raised in public school, you should know they are definitely NOT going to be taught true history.

We definitely deserve judgment.

This is a political post and as such I will be watching what kind of comments come over here because of it....

I really wish i did not have to babysit all the political posts that have come into,"Christianity and Real Estate' as of late....BUT I recognize the right of the members of this group to speak their mind.....unless it degenerates into name calling and slander.....

So far so good...everyone is behaving.....

And THAT is a kudo to EVERYONE who comments in a profesisonal and mature manner....

Alexander - I really wasn't trying to make this a political post - just a Godly one. I guess all that church and state stuff confuses me as all that I believe comes out in all that I do.

You can delete me - I can handle it.

I think that your post is very timely. There is a lot of political garbage floating around 'out there'...and I don't get involved in most of it because of all the ugliness that gets flung around. BUT...I do believe in standing up for what is right...whatever the costs. This post is RIGHT ON!! GBU!

I always liked Chuck Norris, and I love the quote about being scared but saddling up anyway.
I really don't think that our country is to the point where anyone has to "meet rather secretively" to express their views unless their views are expressing hate or inciting violence or actively racist or otherwise illegal.
I know MANY people, both in my community, and in my family, with whom I disagree on politics (I'm supporting Obama). And we talk and discuss and joke and argue, WITHOUT it making us angry at each other.

Tracy - I am sure that there is a good deal of pressure to comply.  Getting hired, cast for roles, allowed to direct etc - money pressures for sure.
