Does anyone believe that an outgoing link to a BBB or Chamber helps your status?
If so, I struggle to see where that would be true because anyone can link out.

It wont hurt and some say outgoing links can help a bit. Its really not going to be very noticable.

Also it might not help with SEO but it will help your users find your site more useful and isnt that more important than anything?

I agree with Shane, it might not be helpful for your SEO but if you are trying to be a neighborhood expert or are trying to build a resourse from you website it is a good link to have.

Yeah, that is the general feedback I am getting. Since I am in the vacation rental business it does not do me that much good ot have "neighborhood" information. I could see where that benefit an agent or someone doing long term rentals. Thanks,
