"Not going to Vote in 08"

By
Real Estate Agent with 616 Realty LLC

It is not 'WHOM' you are going to vote for in 08 for the presidential hopeful  (and I do mean 'hopeful'!), but rather ..... if you are going to vote at all?

I have talked with many friends, family and clients that are not sure they are even going to vote! The candidates in this election are, to say at best, historic in many perspectives. Which leaves me to believe that the media is not finding that important right now ... thank you! It isn't, but o.k......

It is about being so confused and down right sick of the "@#$$% thing"!!!!  Many I have talked with have expressed the fact that they have either been this way or that way for a particular party .... but with this election, they are so sick of the debate part of who will do what they have given up the right and privilege to vote! (which really they need to add the word "TRY" into that whole thing.) We all know the president always gets less and less support from within the political realm, no matter what party you vote for!

Remember Statistics? - that class which we all hated taking in high school? Well this can be summed up as such:

"We don't care about statistics when we are one!"

~Charlene Hammontree, Belmont MI

(Feel free to quote me on that if you would like. Don't need the credit... make it your own!)

Most people just don't know! I for one would not want the job! We are the "Joe's" of this country. We don't want to be sucked into your banter, just promise and make it happen!

It is becoming to a very sad point of "who is the lesser of the evils", or "who do I want to watch on TV for the next 4 years"

Sorry, it isn't about what you can or can't do, we don't believe either of you! WE JUST WANT A LEADER!

So are you going to vote?

Charlene, I ALWAYS vote in every election; even if it is just a local school board election.  I am a conservative and will be voting for McCain.  I can't say he would have been my pick as far as candidates go but I feel he will do the best job in looking out for the Joe's.

I believe we should vote, and then remain involved to push whomever is elected to do what is best for the country. Our political system is in worse shape than the economy--and is responsible for much of that. Next time I hope we'll all be more involved in the total process, and it begins on a local level. We can bring about change, but it won't come automatically. It will require both work and sacrifice.

I vote to drop both parties and start back from the dirt and build a government with smart people that care.

Great ideas.  I always said, vote, and if you can't find one you like, write your own name in.

If we didn't have the right to vote we would complain...we have the right to vote...we still complain

I may not be popular by this comment but I think we should be grateful we even have someone willing to take on the challenge   of cleaning up this economic mess.  I feel you should vote, under the condition you educate what each candidate and his platform is all about. It needs to be an en formed decision.  On the other hand those who do not feel like they can vote should be respected for their personal decision, not criticized.  I just wrote a post on the same subject.

It is very unfortunate tha I have to agree with you. I have not decided whether to vote or not, I also feel not comforatble to vote against rather than for.

John! I agree! We have sat back too long and complained! Now look! It really is a joint effort. Some of the other countries are not as lucky as we are and I would hate to see us muck it up! Thanks for your commnet and your vote!

June! I agree! I think we have lost the connection to the government and that we as the people have no say! To vote is such a privilege! A right that we are given! I have always felt, that whom ever is in office needs support. I wouldn't want that job! Thanks for your comment!

Yes, we are going to vote. Great post.

Our belief is that if you do not vote then you have NO REASON TO COMPLAIN about politics what-so-ever in the next 4 years.

Patty!~ you are so right.... it might not be about who you are going to vote for, but who you will end up supporting for the next for years! Thanks for your comment!
