To build may have to be the slow and laborious task of years. To destroy can be the thoughtless act of a single day.

Winston Churchill was a wonderful and brilliant man offering the courage and strength necessary for real leadership.

We must not allow the destruction of our success & ingenuity for over 200 years which has brought us to where we are today. Senator Obama is undoubtedly of the socialist mindset. The wheels are already spinning and we as a nation MUST NOT ALLOW the destruction of our free markets and capitalist country. An Obama/Biden victory along with a filibuster proof Senate and House will rev up the engines of socialism and head into Marxism more quickly than even many of the moderate Democrats understand.

I was a long holdout against Senator McCain and quite simply, I'm still not a big supporter. But please join me in keeping our country and continuing to grow our future within the original ideas and documents of the Constitution and the capitalist marketplace which has provided me and us with the greatest quality of life mankind has ever seen.

Owen, you are speaking to the choir with me. Our son is in the military and I just can't imagine Obama as his commander in chief. I'm glad our son is due to get out this coming June. I have not been thrilled that McCain was our candidate but I shudder at what we are getting on the other side. It just sounds too much like socialism to me!!!!

Owen - Senator McCain was not my choice in the primaries either - but when it was clear that we faced a far left candidate, I felt McCain was the best choice because I felt he could attract the independents and the more moderate Democrats better than some of the far right options that had been in the race. And I believe, despite the media attacks, that Governor Palin is a great choice as running mate.

As you have said, so much rides on the results of this election. There is still resistance to Senator Obama - the race is still close. Keep good thoughts and continue to work for two more weeks to hold the line in the Senate and elect John McCain.

Marchel: I thank you and your family for the unbelievable sacrifices that you make as a military family. We love you guy's.

I completely agree that Senator McCain was not my choice at all for our candidate and I was a longtime holdout for support to him. But as you stated the other side is a full run at the Marxist socialist agenda and Senator Obama, despite what Colin Powell believes is NOT someone that we can trust to be Commander-in-Chief.

Ted: I hear ya and I feel the same way. I, too believe that Sarah Palin will be the best asset for him in this election.

I'm doing my best and will continue to work to hold that Senate line and hopefully send Senator Obama packing.

But either way, I and every other real conservative needs to initiate a new plan of action after this election regardless of who wins but especially if Senator McCain wins. We need to bring the party back to strict conservative principles or let the party leave us and start a brand new Conservative party and movement.

As much as I like Sarah Palin, I think the best thing that the GOP and conservative movement can do is work extra hard to pursue and promote the eventual Presidency of Governor Bobby Jindal and I also would like to get former Governor and Senator George Allen back into the mix for 2012.
