Reblogger Lori Isaacson

I felt compelled to re-blog this. My mother is a two time Lung Cancer Survivor and I pray she stays healthy forever.Thank you Jim for your generous offer of re-blogging. I am fairly new to Blogging and I felt I would rather re-blog this then just write some nonsense to get points. Thank you so much Jim!!!

Happy Friday and let us all pray for someone we know who is or has suffered from Cancer.

October not only is Halloween, but it's also Cancer Awareness Month, so I thought I'd take you on a tour of San Diego's Cancer Survivors Park and the Positive Mental Attitude Walk downtown on Harbor Drive near Spanish Landing.

to comment at your place, usually within 7-10 days. So please,

Thanks!

But first, two things that I've already done this month, and you can, too:

  1. Buy a pumpkin, clean it out, clean the seeds, count the seeds, and donate $1 for every seed to a cancer research organization. Afterwards, wash the seeds, roast them, and eat them. They're pretty darn good.
  2. Visit On The Border this month. They make it very easy for you to donate because you can simply add a donation amount to your meal tab. Convenient. And you can do it while finishing that margarita.

Not to diminish cancer, but many of the words on the plaques on the Positive Mental Attitude Walk can also be applied to several other aspects of life's journey.

Here's your tour:

Hey, Lori.

Thanks for re-blogging. I'm fortunate that I don't personally know of anyone with cancer or affected by cancer, but I suspect that it's only because they have not told me, for whatever reason.

Hi Lori,

Thanks for your comments on my blog!

Thank you for re-blogging this... cancer affects so many people. I have had several clients pass away after losing their battles with various forms of cancer, and it is just a devistating thing. The worst thing is watching how profoundly affected the loved ones lives that they left behind are.

My father had cancer many years ago and survived, thank goodness and has had a clean bill of health after each re-check, yearly.  :)
