Hi,

Thank you for the photos.

I have been looking everywhere on the web for pictures like this

because the boat that is sitting on the "Dark Horse" belongs to my brother.

That was his 52 ft sloop. He is heartbroken, as I am sure are the rest of the  boat owners.

I live in Idaho so its hard for me to picture what a hurricaine is like.

My goodness I am glad your OK. The pictures are incredible. I hope recovery efforts go fast. It's a nice place and needs to stay that way.

Thanks,T

My husband and I were on St Croix the week of Omar.  How great it is to take a vacation to paradise and survive a hurricane!  Our house sustained minimal cosmetic damage on the exterior and there was an inch of water on the inside.  When we left Sunday morning after Omar's hit Wednesday night we were still without power, water, etc.  We have lots of pictures of the descruction all around the island but would like to find some great pictures of the reconstrution efforts.  We were "House Hunting" that week and still wish to move there in a few years.  Jimmy Buffet sings on his "Take the Weather With You" CD: "If a hurricane doesn't leave you dead, it will make you strong" and we say AMEN to that!!
