Are you glued to cable news lately? I am at times, it's like watching a train wreck. Yes, my husband and I have a 401K that is losing money just like many people right now. At times in the last two weeks I have turned off the TV and walked outside just to put my face into the sunshine and breath. We have good jobs, our health, our children are nearby and doing okay and we have a comfortable home (not worth as much as a few years ago) and we don't have to retire or move soon.
So what now? Well my husband is muttering about our stock losses but I remind him that if we have some extra funds, maybe take some out of stocks, we should Buy some Real Estate!! I see some fantastic REO opportunities in my community and beyond. Opportunities to purchase and rent out and have positive cash flow. I feel like I am at a clearance sale with no checkbook. I think I should buy a home for a few of my kids, rent it out for a couple of years while they finish their military service (USMC) and college degrees and then have something that I can sell to them at a profit to me and a deal for them.
Warren Buffet is putting money into stocks, I say we need to buy Real Estate NOW!!
