There's More Than Great Real Estate Service.....

There's more than great Real Estate Service....you have to give Great Community Service. It is so important for your Real Estate Business to get involved in your community. I am so involved with so many things other than Real Estate. I'm very active with my church community. I am a member or the Local Lions Club which is all about helping others who have eye related problems or have a  need to have a Pilot Dog. My club has purchased 55 pilot Dogs to people who otherwise would not be able to have the freedom to live life as a more normal person. I'm involved with a Bike Club in Akron. Thru my association with "Biking" I will be doing the MS Ride to the Point (150 miles), Pedal-with-Pete which helps those with CP (Cerebral Palsy) research, the ADA Ride De Cure for Diabetes. Yesterday a Client of mine who I sold his house and found them a new construction home asked me to partner with him at a Chili Cook-off at the local High School (Kent Roosevelt). This was to benefit the Miller House which feeds

the homeless. My client is also a firefighter. There were over 46 entries and we served chili to over 700 people. Of course we had our Realty gear and Fire gear and wore it proudly. What a great way to give back to your community and have fun doing it.  It was a lot of fun serving the 5 gallons of chili that we  made  together, my recipe of course.  So make sure that you give back to those  people that support you in  your Real Estate Business by giving back!

Hi Tony - Good for you!  I think it is a very rewarding experience to volunteer & give back.  If everyone would take some small part & give back I believe we can make this world much better.  I know I am a dreamer :).  Volunteering benefits you as well as the community.  Congratulations on your volunteering spirit.  KM

Hi Tony,

You're so right about being involved and giving back. It makes everything worthwhile. Your chili event sounds like a fun one too. As for your bike ride good luck! I did a MS ride here on So Cal a few years back, yet my version was 101 miles, not 150 yikes! Good luck.

Tomorrow my entire family is doing a walk at Disneyland called CHOC Walk for our Children's Hospital in Orange Co. (they're doing it without me this time since I'm on vacation) to raise funds for kids with cancer. I'm very proud of them all.

Keep up the great work!

When I was younger, I was more a career volunteer than career Realtor, at times.  Little did I know how that would feed my business even decades later - that was not my motivation.  Someone did a post recently about networking in person, not just online, and this is exactly what you're doing while helping others.  Congrats!

Morning Tony!  Very inspiring post!  My previous job was director of the MS Society here in Tucson - for many years I planned the MS rides and events.  But I also volunteered my time for other charities around town - and still do.  It was great to read about something I am all too familiar with! It's an excellent reminder to "be a part" and give back to the community!  --Gabrielle

Hi Tony - volunteering is so much fun and there are always lots of opportunities out there.  That's a lot of chili....looks like you had a great time and I know it was appreciated.

My wife and I are currently becoming more involved in community service, and this time it's not court ordered. Take care.
