PumpkinTown

Last year we visited PumpkinTown in East Hampton, CT.  It was so much fun that we visited again this year...Free during the week there is a small admission fee on weekends.

A fun place to bring the family (no dogs allowed) and celebrate fall and Halloween.  There are an assortment of sheds and small buildings all made up to look like a town.  There is the famous fast food burger place, a church, a jail, a post office etc.  The residents of the town are Pumpkin people and they all have very creative names pertaining to vegetables and other produce.

Now I can cross 'crashing a pumkin wedding' off my to-do list...

There are a lot of cute set ups like these but I don't want to give away all the little surprises here.  In addition to the pumkin displays they have a store with Halloween decorations, produce, gifts and PumpkinTown shirts too!

They also take donations for the Cancer Center in Hartford as well as the Middlesex Cancer Center in Middletown.

Get in the Halloween spirit and visit PumpkinTown USA in East Hampton, CT.

Oh it looks like fun Jennifer.  It reminds me of aa place in upstate NY called "The North Pole" and it ws similar but Christmas focused.

Hi Gayle, our daughter who is 2 has fun there.  The names on the pumpkin people are so clever I spend my time reading all the name tags.  I like that it is free and you don't have to buy anything.  The North Pole place sounds neat we may have to check that out someday as well.

Jennifer.. This is just around the corner from me.  I'm surprised I never heard of it.  It might be that my children are a little too old for this, who knows.  Maybe I'll check it out... without them.

Pat and Terrie, our first visit was last year and we intend to make it a Halloween tradition for years to come.

Valerie, you should go!  And take a look around in their little store-great stuff.

I guess bail was too high for that Pumpkin criminal to get out, huh. Where's the Pumpkin bondsman when you need him? LOL
