Great - just when you thought this stuff was over, Mars Petcare, makers of Pedigree and Members Mark (Sams Club) Pet Foods are voluntarily recalling pet foods contaminated with salmonella from the Everson, PA dry petPet Friendly Real Estate food plant.

Please go to the link and be sure your pets (BOTH CATS AND DOGS) are not eating any of this food!

Lyn, great notification for pet owners on this topic. You think we would get past these food safety issues with pet food wouldn't you?

Thanks Lyn.  You know, I think back on the farm and our dogs ate anything, and I mean anything they found and never got sick.  Must have been immune.

Gary & Bill:  You would think that after all the nonsense from China that this stuff wouldn't happen, but obviously it does.  Wanted to post the info, not to be an alarmist, but to be sure that people's pets are safe.  They say it was initiated by the company, but then you never know and shouldn't take a chance.  People weren't paying attention the 1st time.

P.S.  Bill - When was the last time you saw 'gluten' laying around the farm field?

Thanks for the notice. Hmm.. I don't remember seeing that mentioned in any Sam's Club emails.

Luckily we don't use those foods

I guess the whole thing is under the media wire so to speak and came from the AKC Newsletter that my sister received.  I guess it's not important enough for the 6:00 news.

Hey Lynn, Thanks for the heads-up.  We certainly don't want another problem like we had a few years ago.

Teresa:  Your welcome, just wanted to be sure that people found out, especially since I know that Sams sells alot of dog/cat food & Pedigree is after all a well known brand.
