KEN'S WISH LIST FOR 2009

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Residential

We all hope for global peace, clean air, lower crime, etc..

It's OK to have some material wants, too.

So here is what I would like to purchase in 2009.

Ken

A Realtor you can trust.

Ken's Wish List for 2009

1.  Portable Hard DriveWestern Digital WDXMS2500TN Passport 250 GB USB Portable Hard Drive

Price approximately $100.  I need to back up my laptop's hard drive.  Soon.

2.  Global Positioning System.

Price approximately $200.  I never want to ask for directions again.  I would think a must for any agent.

3.  Audi A6.                                 S6

Price approximately $50,000.  Style and class.  Not too pretentious.  Big enough for work.  Sporty with family function.  All wheel drive.  I am a sucker for German engineering.

4.  Home in Naperville.              Home in Naperville

Price approximately $350,000.  Close to downtown.  Nice size trees.  Great schools.  Great people.

Hi Ken!
Isn't it amazing how, when it comes right down to it, we don't really want as much as we think we do?  I love the idea of setting some goals.  Our old broker use to say that he loved it when his agents would go out and buy a new car. He knew that they were going to work hard to make the car payments!  If I really think about it, I like my car, my laptop, my Treo and my PC. Most of my wants are at home. I would like to take the middle out of my house (my husband says no, but I am on the five year plan to convince him what a good idea it is), paint the outside of the house and plant 2 more trees.  It still inspires me to work hard!

Ken,

Watch out for the GPS.  I have become so dependent on mine I take it everywhere, even when I know where I am going just in case I think of some place else to go.  You know, a mental health drive or something.

I do like your list.

Hi Ken,

Everything on your list is attainable. Time to prioritize now and work toward obtaining one at a time. This method will give you a sense of satisfaction and the motivation to go on to the next.

Hi Hal, Don, Paul, Paula, and Edward.  Thanks for reading.

Edward, that is very Zen of you.

Hal, I was going to let basic economics decide the order.  Probably top to bottom.

Thanks again everyone,

Ken

Ken- You can merge two items on your list. Get an Audi with the built in GPS...Then you will have it with you all of the time and you cannot forget take it with you like I do! Also the advice about a vision board is so valuable. You need to create one!

Best,

Scott

Hi Scott.  Good idea on the merger.  I might be a little further off on the Audi.  Maybe not.

Either way, I need to sell some houses!

Hey Kenny. Maybe ad a Nikki wants list and an Erins wants list too. Working to get them what they want might be more fun that actually getting stuff for yourself.

Good post.

Been busy.  Golf yesterday!
