Members and affiliate members of the Metro Board of Realtors met Saturday, October 18 for the first project of Project Realtor Restore. Project Realtor Restore is a program to help restore our communities. Our first project was located in the city of Johnson. In working with the city, residents we encouraged to ask for help with clean up projects on their property. We also help the city clean up several area streets. We picked up over two tons of trash!
This was a great project and a great opportunity to give back to our local community.
A funny thing... some of the area residents thought we were working off criminal charges, with the orange vests. I wondered why I was getting a strange look when I stopped at the local gas station. I still had my vest on. LOL
There were a few others that left before the photo was taken.
