Lake Norman 15K - Lungstrong - 2008

My friend Willow and I did the LungStrong 15K this Saturday (only 9.3 miles). Every year there is a 15K at Lake Norman and it's usually between 200-500 runners, depending on the weather. The weather was perfect and the course was relatively unconfusing.

In the past, the course wound you through the Peninsula neighborhood streets and you made a lot of turns. Since Michael Waltrip Racing in Cornelius was the head sponsor, we started out at their place of business and ran down to the end of Jetton Road and then turned around. We ran through Jetton park, which has some great lake norman scenery, and then came back to the Nascar shop for some free beer, massages, band, refreshments, and more!

I finished within a few seconds of my time from 2007! I was so glad because we never think we feel as good as we do until we get out there and just run it!

thanks Richard! I really try to get a workout in at least 4 times a week with at least 45 min of cardio, but with our hectic schedules, it's hard to stay on track. You have to keep appointments with yourself!
