southpoint mallOnce again our fair city garners merit for being a great place to live.
Durham was ranked number 3, according to Business Week as a place to for riding out the recession. Medical, the universities, the Research Triangle Park, are but a few of the reasons why our beloved city ranks so well.

The Research Triangle Park, the biggest research park in the world. Among other things, the renewal of downtown Durham is making this a great town! Also the people here are very friendly and diversity is immense. This is my second swing through this city and I gotta say, I love it here!

If your considering a move to North Carolina, please take a close at Durham. But hey, don't take my word for it. Take Business Week's. With a high inventory of homes right now and the $7500 tax credit from Uncle Sam (for first time home buyer's), now is the time to purchase a home in the Bull City!

Here are some stats from Business Week for Durham:
Share of jobs in strong industries: 45.5%
Number of workers: 103,331
Metro area unemployment rate: 5.4%
Agriculture jobs: 0.23%
Professional, Scientific, and Technical jobs (legal, accounting etc.): 9.09%
Education jobs: 14.11%
Health-care jobs: 17.96%
