I just returned from the California Association of Realtor's Conference in Long Beach. We had our EXPO and Tech Tuesday last week. Of course because of the times, the attendance wasn't as good as last year. It was still fun and informative. For the most part, Realtors were quite positive about the events. The meetings started on Wednesday. There wasn't much that occurred except finally, as of July 1, 2008, all agents in California must place their Department of Real Estate license on their business cards, stationary and some marketing materials. DRE came to the decision to finally make this happen. I have been placing my license number on my business cards for over a year. The public needs to be aware of the fact that they have the ability to research whether or not we have a license. I have heard that in some areas that many people are writing offers and do not have a license. How is it in your state?
