Moving up in Google

By
Real Estate Agent with Charles Rutenberg Realty BK645994

I regulary check my positioning on Google, because let's face it if you are not on Google your website might as well be invisible. Through some of the webmaster tools available on Google, I determined that the number one search for my area is Orlando Real Estate - big surprise. Through search engine optimization tools, continuous updating of my website and blogging here and on ActiveRain and Realtor.com, I have been successful at moving my website up the ladder. This morning I found myself on page one. Please go ahead and try it yourself. Go to Google and put in Orlando Real Estate. These positions do change, but hopefully you will still find me at number ten.

While you are there, go ahead and check out www.DavidWelch.com. I have added a Zillow Search page, and Eppraisal page, and the brand new consumer website that gives you access to the Orlando MLS. At the bottom of the page you will also find a brand new Foreclosure Search tool. Google me today.

Blogs like activerain have been great tools for improving the visibility and findability of my website. If you are new to blogging, keep it up. It does pay dividends. Right at 50% of my business came directly from the internet last year, and it will be a similar percentage this year. Make sure you are using SEO and other tools to make sure that you are positioning yourself correctly yet broadly enough to be found.

Good work David.  I'm a new member of Active Rain and have been impressed with the site so far.  What kind of SEO tools are you using?  Obviously I don't want you to give up your tricks, but if you have any recommendations to look into I'd love to learn.

Thanks,

Tyler

Hi Dave impressive results!  I just searched your site on google under "Orlando real estate" and you came up as the first position on the second page.  I have been doing PPC campaigns through Google and also organic SEO work as well.  Unfortunately my organic results for my website www.AdvantageLendingCorp.comhave gone down the gutter.  However this is my own fault since I haven't blogged on my website, active rain, or Lender411 in over a couple of months.  I am just finishing up a complete move of our corporate office and have been so busy I couldn't find the time.  Clearly updating your blog and other sites is critical as I use to be on the first page of Google for zero down home loans , now I can't even find it!  I'll have to climb that ladder again and stay on top of it this time.

Thanks for the post. I'm always trying to get my pages optimized, but I'm not having your success for my www.imtgonline.net website and my www.imtgonline.com blogsite.

Thanks for all the comments.

Heather, be careful starting a new website. That can set you back on SEO. Try not to change providers too often.

Tyler, I use the SEO tools in my Alamode website, Google webmaster tools, and Trail Blazer by Godaddy.

Courtney, keep up the blogging. I have made blogging three times a day part of my written business plan and daily schedule.

Daniel, good luck climbing back up the ladder. If you don't have time to get creative, try re-blogging when you find helpful content from others.

Darrell, I see you are with Alamode. Lets link each other's blogs.
