I think we can all say that all hope for a nice warm day are almost gone. It is getting dark much earlier and we all dread getting out from under the covers in the morning because it is cold!!! I know many people are concerned with the heating bills this winter and I thought I would post a few energy saving tips to help us keep our houses warm, but our wallets full!!!
- Caulk around windows and doors to decrease drafts
- Insulate your garage door with thin styrofoam insulation board.
- On a sunny day, leave the shades and window treatments open to let the sunlight in which will help to warm up your house
- Use those wood burning stoves or invest in a wood burning stove insert for your fireplace.
