TRINITY BELLWOODS PARK - FARMER'S MARKET

By
Real Estate Agent with Sutton Group-Associates Realty Inc., Brokerage

The Trinity Bellwoods Farmer's Market is coming to an end for this year.
The last one will be held on October 28th ... less than 1 week away.

Don't miss this market.  It promotes local and urban sustainable agriculture.

There is an amazing selection of locally grown, organic produce, freshly baked bread, a selection of meats and dairy.

Don't forget to take your re-usable bags, as plastic bags available are few.

If you drive there, don't park on Shaw Street, by the park.
That area is reserved for the vendor vehicles.

There is also an on-leash area for pets.
Smoking is not allowed in the immediate market area.

If you require additional information, call 416-435-8860

Trinity Bellwoods Park is at the corner of Dundas & Shaw Street and the market vendors are set up on the on the North west side/tip of the park.

If you're coming from the South side along Queen Street, you can walk North on Crawford or Shaw Streets to Dundas, to find the market.

If you're getting there by TTC, your closest stop would be Ossington, and then you would walk East one block.

Don't miss the last day at Toronto's Trinity Bellwoods Park Farmer's Market.

Sylvie, that's what I love most about summer are the farm stands.  Ours no longer have the Jersey corn, and the Jersey tomatoes are on their way out (first frost).  We still have pumpkins and squash..but those too will be gone the first week in November, when my local stand closes for the year!

Laura, to be honest, it was so freezing cold yesterday, that I didn't make it to the market.  I took these photos a little while ago.  The produce will be different now, I'm sure, and yes, there will be lots of squash and pumpkins... which is very timely. :)
Hopefully I will remember my camera on Tuesday and take some additional photos.
I hope the 28th is warmer than it was yesterday (the wind was bitter cold and it snowed).

Edna, you'd fit right in with your convertible ... especially on Lakeshore Blvd. (by the water's edge) ... (you already have the company name ... very popular neighbourhood here ... come by any time. I'll give you a tour). :)

Sylvie, The market looks wonderful, I would have loved to get some home-grown foods.  I'm sorry to hear you have snow there already--I keep wondering what happened to fall?

Carole, I don't get this weather ... we go from turning off the central air to turning on the heat.  Fall is my favourite time of year, and one day the leaves are green and the next day the trees are bare, and it's windy and snowing. :/  (Snow didn't hang around and it didn't snow today, but it's really cold already ... I could use some sun and ocean, that's for sure.)
May be time to visit Kathy. :)

Sylvie- Yes maybe it's time to visit me...my doors are open at 7:15 pm, the hot wind is blowing, and I'm in shorts and a t-shirt.  But this too will end soon.  Your weather reminds me of my time overseas, and so do the pictures of the Park.  Nice....

oh, and of course I clicked the Hunger Site :)

LOL - shorts and a t-shirt ... I wish ...
I haven't had a vacation in 4 years ... don't tempt me ...
By the way, the Park doesn't look like that any more ... 2 days of crappy weather changes everything :)

I clicked the Hunger Site, and the Cancer Site, and the Child Health Site, the Literacy Site, the Rainforest Site, the Animal Rescue and I still have to go play with some words for more rice grains. :)

Sylvie- I'm laughing at all the sites you click.  I just learned of the Animal Rescue one yesterday.  Oh, and as to the vacation....I missed half of mine last year, and all of it this year.  I sure hope next year works out better.  I like taking a month off.....lofty goals, but hey shoot high :)

I grew up close to this area many years ago.  I remember a donut shop on Queen street just east of the park.  We would go there right after church on Sundays.  What a treat.

Now I live just outside of London and enjoy my occasional trip into Toronto and hit all the small places to eat and have a coffee.

Isabel, we'll have to grab a sweet roll at Future Bakery, or any other new bakery in the area, when you're in town.  Thanks for stopping by.
