I am a tremendous fan of Carthay Center Elementary School. Whether you are considering moving to the area
or have been here for a while I thought it would be worthwhile to provide you with some insightful information about the school.
Carthay Center Elementary School is located in Historic Carthay Circle, Los Angeles, California. To be exact, it is located at 6351 West Olympic Blvd. It first opened in 1923. Rubbing elbows with Beverly Hills and sporting the beautiful La Cienega Park, the neighborhood itself gets fabulous reviews. The area is rich in architecture, with no two homes alike. The streets patterns are irregular and all can be easily reached by walking.
Carthay Center Elementary School's location is just one of its many assets. The school houses Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5. It has a student enrollment of 354, with an envious average of 13 students per teacher. There are 22 classrooms and 27 full-time teachers along with "extended day" programs, both before and after school. Carthay Elementary also offers special education classes and English Language classes.
Principal Gwen McGee is well known in the neighborhood for providing an exemplary educational experience for our most valuable resource, the local children.
