Marysville, Ohio Real Estate Market

Lately, I have had a lot of people ask me how the market is in Marysville, Ohio? They also ask, is it really as bad as the news portrays? The answer to these questions is yes and no. I can honestly say without much thought or research that the Ohio, Columbus, and/or Marysville market is not as bad as some of the markets around the country. Las Vegas is projected to be down in 2008 -23.7%, also among the worst real estate markets is Cleveland projected to be down -12.1%. Cleveland is by far the worst market in the state of Ohio. To give you an idea where the Columbus market stands (Marysville is part of the Columbus market) it is projected to be down -7.8% in 2008. Markets that rank above the Columbus market in Ohio are the Cincinnati, Dayton, and Toledo markets. Although they are ranked higher than the Columbus market, it is not by much. Dayton is fairing the best and the experts are predicting the market to be down around -5.9%. To answer the questions I am receiving about the Columbus and in particular the Marysville market. Yes we have not seen any appreciation of home sale prices and in fact there has been a decline in home prices over the year. Compared to national numbers we are holding pretty steady. One other point I would like to make, for home sellers in the Marysville, Ohio real estate market, if you sell your home at a little lower price than you would normally in a good market, than if you plan on buying another home more than likely you are going to make up that difference on the purchasing end.
